Hi Chuck
I hope you are doing well.  Screamer is three years old.   He is doing great.  I thought you may like to see his picture with Santa.    He is great with other dogs and with people.  We could not have asked for a better dog. Everyone thinks he is a puppy he is so playful and young looking.  He is spoiled.  He is king of the house.
Merry Christmas

Chuck

Hope you and your family are doing well.

We wanted to send you Screamer's picture with Santa.  He ran up to Santa and layed down for him to scratch him. At the pet store they made another copy of Screamer's picture and they were going to use it for display.    He loves everyone. Screamer is 4 years old now.  He is doing good.  We took him to the nursing home dressed in his Christmas outfit and everyone loved him.     When we took him into the rooms to see the patients he took himself a seat and sit there.   He is so well behaved and was easy to train.  He has such cute and  loveable way.

Hi Chuck-just thought you would like to see what a handsome dog Jake is turning out to be.  He is absolutely adorable and we are crazy about him.  We love his green eyes and his coloring.  Everyone that sees and meets him feel the same way.  He is so smart, playful and lovable.  He is very spoiled and loves every minute of it.   We have been to the vet 3 times for shots, etc. and they say he is doing great.  Last time he got weighed he was 7 ½ lbs..  He is growing fast...

So did all his brothers get taken?  I hope so...  We are so happy we found your kennel and got Jake.  Thanks again.

Take care and have a nice weekend.

Hi Chuck -

Sorry to be so long in communicating - I've just been pretty busy watching Katie develop and  grow!

Update - she's all of 5.9 pounds now at sixteen weeks (up from the 2.5 weight when she came home w/me), and about 8" at the shoulder (best guesstimate, hard to measure a moving target!).  Yes, still very small - subject to change, but very okay w/me either way.   She has been, and continues to be a pure delight and, again, I'd like to thank you for the first nine weeks of her little life and for the exemplary foundation you, your family and her mom and litter provided.  From the git-go, Katie fit right in here and exhibited very high confidence and animation - much more than I ever expected.

She's housebroken (or maybe I am!) - I do subscribe to crating (denning) and she is very comfortable w/that.  She's outgrown the 'cat crate' I brought her home in - but one still remains as her 'naughty box'  for time outs for the occasional bad behavior..  Besides  that she has two (upstairs and downstairs) Marchione Clipper 3 abodes.  I'm hoping she won't outgrow them ...... but, if she does, Zig's Furrari 250's are waiting in the wings.   Yep, I've got it covered!  She sleeps at night, in the crate on the foot of my bed, for a good 8 hours - come morn, she stretches out and curls up under my chin for another half hour.  She is such a snuggly delight - (Zig wasn't much of a snuggler, so I''m new at this!)

Katie is raw fed (as I think I mentioned to you) - and I'm doing a conservative immunization schedule.  She's on track.  She had her first raw, meaty bones last week - attacked them splendidly and just last night discovered that with a bit of effort she can climb the stairs!   Can't yet come back down .... but 'up' is good !  Every day is such an adventure!

Besides that, she is so very inventive and animated w/toys - balls are her favorite, the bigger the better.  Her fenced yard is a real puppy utopia and I'm not sure who will win - the emerging plants or the puppy?!  Aw, ain't life great for a beagle ?!

So, thanks again for making my beagle - she's so special and we are grateful.  I'll keep you posted, if you want - I really love bragging 'bout my Hawbranch Katie Beagle !

Best wishes from Ellen & Katie Kruskie

Hi!!!!

Jackson

This is Hawbranch Jackson Eggleston // adopted as Tater 3, born 31 July 06.  He is having a great time is Chapel Hill, NC.  His health is excellent.  He got a just a little problem with ear fungus, but cured right up.  He is totally up on his shots.  He has his Home Again Microchip imbedded.

Jack is a typical beagle, chews and loves to get into things.  He loves to table surf when he thinks no one is watching.  He has been known to get to the people's dinner before the people do.  He is best known for chewing up Grandma's glasses.  But Mom (Jan Eggleston) thinks he can do no wrong and takes him for lots of long walks.  He sleeps under the bedcovers and is a real snuggler.  No shoes are safe from his mighty jaws.  Luckily we are moving to a new house next month and he will get a big yard.  We will see how he reacts to bunnies and deer.  He is presently attending Petsmart Puppy obedience class.  He is the star pupil.  He is best at rolling over, worst at walking on a leash.  There are just too many good smells at Petsmart and he has to stop and sniff every six inches and you never get anywhere.

He is really really smart and can figure out lots of things, and is he fast.  He loves to fetch and play ball.  Stuffed animals and a particular favorite and he loves to chew off there ears and legs and pulls out all their stuffing.  He does have a lot of separation anxiety.  When left in the truck one day at Target, we got called to the managers office because he was screaming so loud.  As a pack animal, he never wants to be left alone.  Luckily he has Grandma around most of the time, but she has been rather mad at Jackson since he ate her glasses.  When Grandma went out of town at Christmas, he went to the Doggie Day Spa so he would not be upset about being alone.

Jack has NOT met a bunnie yet.  He has a rather shy personality and if rather a timid noncombatant type.  I bet he will be more aggressive once he meets yard bunnies and killer squirrels.  He is by far the smallest dog is Puppy Class, and he isn't totally intimidated by the boxer, lab mix, pit bull mix.  But other than shredding anything paper we can find and eviscerating his stuffed animals, Jackson has not exhibited any aggressive behavior.  And for a beagle, he is pretty disinterested in gulping his food.  He even likes grapes pickles and onions, a rather sissy mix for a dog.

Jack however thinks he is a real boy dog and has started marking things on his daily walks.  And although Jackson is rather unaggressive at many things, I suspect he may be very interested in the lady dogs.  I suspect he is more of a lover type, not a fighter type.

Anyway, he is doing GREAT and no health problems at all.

Hi chuck,

I just thought I'd share how Woodstock is doing. He's gotten soo big. He is very energetic. He and my cat play all the time it is the funniest thing. Still working on potty training he's almost got it. He's very stubborn, but incredibly sweet and lovable. He turns heads wherever we take him. He still has those gorgeous green/blue eyes. I've attatched some picturess. Thanks so much again!
Katie laDolcetta.

Hi Chuck,

Just wanted to let you know that "Bridget", as Ali has decided to name her,
is doing fine.  She is full of mischief and personality.  The kennel
training is absolutely the way to go and she is learning to go
outside....most of the time.  Bridget is eating well and growing as you can
see from the attached pictures.  Happy New Year and will continue to keep
you up-to-date.  Debbie

Good morning, Chuck!  Hope you and the family are well.

Wanted to update you on our Annie.  She is doing great!  She is right at 4 months now and weighs a little more than 10 lbs.  Annie is a beautiful girl and we get lots of compliments when we head out on our walks.  She's very sweet and VERY smart!  Our daughter has taught her to sit, lay down, roll over, and come.   She's just a popular young lady and I've given Hawbranch a great thumbs up!   Annie is also a lap dog...by bedtime, she likes to curl up in my or my husband's lap for a snooze.  She's also crate trained and pretty close to house trained as well.  Your tips on your web site helped tremendously!

Thanks for being a part of making our family grow with a wonderful beagle girl.
